MC Swim & Dive,

It’s time to start thinking about practice and our upcoming season! We’ve listed some important dates below.

• Physical forms for this school year must be turned in to the Athletic Director’s office at the high school BEFORE the first practice.

• Monday, Oct 15—first day of swim practice. If you normally swim for a club, continue on with your designated club practice schedule. If you will be practicing with Coach Creed, practice will be at Bogan Park Pool. Dryland training is from 3:30–4:00 and swimming is from 4:00–5:00. Please wear appropriate shoes for dryland training. You are expected to participate in the full practice. You are responsible for your own transportation.

• Monday, October 15—first day of diving practice will be at Bogan Park Pool from 7:45-9:45 p.m. You are responsible for your own transportation.

• If you are in need of a carpool or can help with a carpool, please reply with your athlete’s name (indicate swim or dive) and your contact info to [email protected] by this Thursday, October 11. It is your responsibility to secure transportation to and from practice, but we will do our best to help you find each other.

• Registration money is due Friday, October 19. Be sure you have completed registration online at millcreek.swimtopia.com. Pay online with credit/debit card or send check made out to MCSD to Coach Creed’s room C211 by Friday, October 19. Please remember that Coach Creed is only on campus for first half of the day. If you have established a payment plan with our treasurer, PJ Battle, your first payment is also due October 19. If you have any questions about registration or payment, please contact PJ Battle at [email protected].

• Deadline to purchase spiritwear is Friday, October 19. You may purchase spiritwear on the website at millcreek.swimtopia.com/example-team-store. The system will only take credit card or debit card payments. If you need to pay by check, print out your order with all the details like styles and sizes and have your athlete deliver the order and the check to Coach Creed. His room is C211. Checks should be made out to Mill Creek Swim & Dive. Please be sure to print out your order since the system will not save your selections without payment.

• Sunday, October 14, 6:00-8:00 p.m. The Childs family is hosting a bonfire social at their home for athletes and coaches. Address is 1800 Thomas Drive, Hoschton, 30548. You are responsible for your own transportation.

• Tuesday, October 30, 6:30-8:00 p.m. Kick-off dinner at Hidden Falls Clubhouse. Address is 2769 Hidden Falls Drive, Buford, 30519. Dinner for athletes and coaches will be catered by Dickey’s BBQ. Please RSVP to Elizabeth Ward ([email protected]) only if you cannot attend. Please let her know by Thursday, October 26. You will be picking up your suits, caps, and spiritwear for the first meet at the dinner. You are responsible for your own transportation.

• We are still looking for sponsors for the team. We’d love to advertise your business on our banner and heat sheets, or you may make donation even if you don’t have a business. The form you need to submit can be found at https://millcreek.swimtopia.com/sponsors. Please ask your favorite local businesses to be our sponsors as well. Local businesses have been extremely supportive of Mill Creek sports in the past, but we need you to ask.
