Congratulations to the swim team for their outstanding performance at the Clody Invitational.  Both teams swam well.

First place finishes were achieved by Tristen Thompson (100 fly), and Bailey Williams (500 free).

State qualifying times were achieved by Logan Paugh (200 free), Tristen Thompson (100 fly), and Bailey Williams (500 free).  Hunter Misuraca qualified for state at the Hudson Memorial Invitational Meet on Friday.

County qualifying times were achieved by Aidan Delliponti (200 free, 100 breast), Sam Lowry (200 free, 100 free), Caroline Weinhart (200 free, 100 fly, 50 free), Cam Niehoff (200 IM, 500 free), Alex Lane (50 free, 100 free), Anna Smith (50 free, 100 free), Gianna Brooks (50 free, 100 back), Sarah Grant (50 free, 100 breast), Julia Schroer (50 free), Kelsey Moore (50 free, 100 free), Logan Paugh (100 fly, 50 free), Daniel Roshka (100 fly, 100 breast), Aidan Van Derhei (500 free), Cara Hawxby (500 free), Jacob Battle (100 back, 100 breast, 50 free), Will Pierce (100 back, 100 breast), Jordan Hildebrand (100 back, 100 breast), Bailey Williams (100 back), and Tristen Thompson (100 breast).

We have many swimmers attempting to earn special recognition by qualifying for state and county in each and every event. We award the Iron Hawk for qualifying for state in all 8 swimming events, Silver Hawk for qualifying for state in at least 2 swimming events and county in the remaining swimming events, Bronze Hawk for qualifying for state in less than 2 events and county in the remaining events, and Soaring Hawk for divers that qualify for state in both the 11-dive and 6-dive format.

Iron Hawk: Nicholas Kalenik, Jake Magahey, and Abigail Tashlein.

Silver Hawk:  Jordan Hildebrand, Daniel Roshka, Sydney Tashlein, Tristen Thompson, Jackson Ward, and Bailey Williams.

Bronze Hawk:  Jacob Battle, Aidan Delliponti, and Will Pierce.  

Team Pictures will be taken on Monday, 10 Dec 2018, at the Bogan Park Aquatic Center.  Swimmers and divers should arrive at 3:30 PM.  There will be a team meeting and then the team will line up for the team picture.  The picture should be taken around 4:00 PM.  Individual pictures will also be taken for those that want to order individuals.  There will be an abbreviated practice after the team picture is taken.  

The next swimming meet will be versus Duluth and Berkmar on Saturday evening at 7:00 PM, 15 Dec 2018, at the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center.  The next diving Invitational Meet will be the Gwinnett 11 Dive Invitational on Saturday, 15 Dec 2018, at 1:00 PM at the Mountain Park Aquatic Center.

Congratulations to the entire team for their outstanding spirit and sportsmanship! The team did an outstanding job of cheering and supporting their teammates!  A special thanks to our outstanding board for running a phenomenal hospitality room for coaches and officials!  A special thanks to our wonderful president, Daphne Lane, for working in the Hospitality Room during the meet!
