COUNTY SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS

  • If you are unfamiliar with how the County meet works, especially how swimmers move from Prelims to Finals, please read the attachment.

Boys’ Prelims—Thursday, January 24 at West Gwinnett pool at 5:00 p.m. (bus at 1:45, students released from class early)

Girls’ Prelims—Friday, January 25 at West Gwinnett pool at 5:00 p.m. (bus at 1:45, students released from class early)

Combined Finals—Saturday, January 26 at West Gwinnett pool at 5:00 p.m. (bus at 2:00)

Address for West Gwinnett Pool is 4488 Peachtree Industrial Blvd, Norcross, 30071.

West Gwinnett Pool will open at 3:00 p.m. each day. The meet begins each day at 5:00 p.m. You will want to get there well before 5:00 p.m. to park, pay, and get your seat. Fees for County spectators are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Heat sheets are $5 on Prelim days and $2 on Finals day. Concessions workers DO NOT PAY to get in. Food providers and all other spectators will pay to get in.

Volunteers: Thank you so much for helping us to have a successful County Swim Meet! Food items need to be dropped off no later than 4:00 each day, or you can send your item with your swimmer. If you plan to stay for the meet, you will need to pay first at the front table and then bring your food to the MCHS table in the lobby. CONCESSIONS WORKERS: Do NOT pay to get in! Tell the workers at the front table that you are staffing the concessions for Mill Creek. They will have a file or large envelope with our school name. Find your badge with your name on it. You must wear your badge during your shift and give it to the Worker Coordinator before you leave. Worker Coordinator on Thursday and Saturday is Elizabeth Ward; Friday will be Christy McCall. We will be wearing name badges and will be checking on the concessions stand close to the end of your shifts. We have several MCHS students volunteering. Please help them with badges, signing time sheets, etc. Again, concessions workers DO NOT PAY to enter the meet. Please be ON TIME for your shift.

If you have any questions, please call or text Elizabeth Ward at 770-312-5756.
