Congratulations to the girls swimmers for their outstanding performance in the Gwinnett County Swimming Prelims.

The following swimmers qualified for state: Mia Walters (200 free, 100 fly), Tristen Thompson (200 free, 100 fly, 100 free), Jessie Hernandez (200 free, 100 free), Caroline Weinhart (200 free, 100 fly), Abigail Tashlein (200 IM, 100 back), Sydney Tashlein (200 IM, 100 breast), Jordan Hildebrand (50 free, 100 free), Lainey Lioi (50 free, 100 free), Gianna Brooks (50 free), Isabelle Andrews (100 fly, 500 free), and Bailey Williams (500 free, 100 breast).  The following swimmers were within 1 second of qualifying for state: Claire Grant (50 free, 100 free), Haley Hernandez (50 free, 100 free), and Sarah Grant (100 breast). 

The following swimmers qualified for Saturday's finals:

A final (top 10): Mia Walters (200 free, 100 fly), Abigail Tashlein (200 IM, 100 back), Sydney Tashlein (200 IM), Jordan Hildebrand (50 free, 100 free), Lainey Lioi (50 free), Isabelle Andrews (100 fly, 500 free), and Tristen Thompson (100 fly).

B final (11-20): Tristen Thompson (200 free), Jessie Hernandez (200 free, 100 free), Gianna Brooks (50 free), Lainey Lioi (100 free), Caroline Weinhart (100 fly), Bailey Williams (500 free, 100 breast), Julia Schroer (500 free), and Sydney Tashlein (100 breast).

C final (21-30): Caroline Weinhart (200 free), Sarah Grant (200 IM, 100 breast), Anna Smith (200 IM), Claire Grant (50 free), Haley Hernandez (100 free), Cara Hawxby (500 free), Gianna Brooks (100 back), and Liz Newlin (100 back).  Claire Grant would have made it into the C final of the 100 free but she is not able to compete due to the limit on the number of swimmers (4) from each school that can compete in finals in each event.

The following swimmers performed well and had outstanding seasons:  Amelia Battle, Jordan Delliponti, Kelsey Moore, Sammy Ulbrich, and Liza Vaitl.

Congratulations to all of the swimmers for their outstanding effort, spirit and sportsmanship! The finals will be held Saturday evening at 5:00 PM at the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center.
