Meet Summary Correction - Brookwood, North Gwinnett, Parkview, Mill Creek - 2 Nov 2019
Congratulations to the swim team for their outstanding performance this weekend in the quad meet versus Brookwood, North Gwinnett, and Parkview. The team placed 3rd overall in a meet consisting of the top teams both in Gwinnett County and in the State of Georgia. On the women's side the score was Brookwood 204, North Gwinnett 178, Mill Creek 170, and Parkview 170. On the men's side the score was North Gwinnett 197, Mill Creek 163, Brookwood 144, and Parkview 126.
First place finishes were captured by Nicholas Kalenik (200 free, 500 free), Jake Magahey (50 free, 100 back), Jordan Hildebrand (50 free), Jake Magahey, Chase Childs, Jackson Ward, Nicholas Kalenik (200 medley relay), Jake Magahey, Will Pierce, Daniel Roshka, Nicholas Kalenik (400 free relay).
Jake Magahey earned All-American Consideration in the 100 back with his time of 50.56. His time was just 0.24 seconds shy of Christopher Pierce'sschool record!
State qualifying times were achieved by Nicholas Kalenik (200 free, 500 free), Daniel Roshka (200 free, 100 free, 50 free), Will Pierce (200 free, 100 free), Mia Walters (200 free, 100 fly), Tristen Thompson (200 free, 100 free), Will Skidmore (200 IM, 500 free), Abigail Tashlein (200 IM, 100 back, 100 free), Sydney Tashlein (200 IM, 100 breast), Jake Magahey (50 free, 100 back, 100 free), Jordan Hildebrand (50 free, 100 fly), Jackson Ward (100 fly, 100 back), Vivien Rothwell (100 fly, 100 back), Lainey Lioi (100 free), Audrey Privett (500 free, 100 breast), and Chase Childs (100 breast).

The next meet will be Tuesday, 5 November 2019, at Westminster. The bus will leave Mill Creek at 3:00 PM. The meet starts at 5:00 PM. The bus should return to Mill Creek around 8:00 PM.
Congratulations to the entire team for their outstanding spirit and sportsmanship! The team did an outstanding job of cheering and supporting their teammates! A special shout out to our freshman swimmers and all of the athletes participating in their first high school meet. The freshmen accounted for 6 state and 7 county qualifying times!!!!
