Congratulations to the swim team for their outstanding performance this weekend versus Peachtree Ridge and Mountain View. The women’s team won 145 (Mill Creek) to 94.5 (Mountain View) to 69.5 (Peachtree Ridge). The men's team finished 2nd 131 (Peachtree Ridge) to 129 (Mill Creek) to 52 (Mountain View). The team won overall 274 (Mill Creek) to 200.5 (Peachtree Ridge) to 146.5 (Mountain View).

We have many swimmers attempting to earn special recognition by qualifying for state and county in each and every event. We award the Iron Hawk for qualifying for state in all 8 swimming events, Silver Hawk for qualifying for state in at least 2 swimming events and county in the remaining swimming events, Bronze Hawk for qualifying for state in less than 2 events and county in the remaining events, and Soaring Hawk for divers that qualify for state in both the 11-dive and 6-dive format.

Iron Hawk: Nicholas Kalenik, Jake Magahey, Abigail Tashlein, Sydney Tashlein, and Jackson Ward.

Silver Hawk: Jordan Hildebrand (7 state cuts), Will Pierce (7 state cuts), Tristen Thompson (7 state cuts), Daniel Roshka (6 state cuts), Audrey Privett (5 state cuts). Vivien Rothwell (5 state cuts), and Will Skidmore (5 state cuts).

Bronze Hawk: Alina Inthavong (1 state cut), Jacob Battle, Hunter Dunnington, Claire Grant, Aidan Van Derhei, and Caroline Weinhart.

The next meet will be the versus North Gwinnett on Saturday, 11 January 2019, at the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center in Norcross. We will recognize our senior athletes at this meet. The bus will leave Mill Creek at 5:30 PM. The meet starts at 7:00 PM. The bus should return to Mill Creek around 10:30 PM.
