Mill Creek swimmers contribute to Swim Atlanta’s Junior National Championship

Congratulations to Swim Atlanta for winning the 2019 East Junior National Swim Meet held at Georgia Tech this past weekend! Three Mill Creek swimmers competed for SwimAtlanta at the prestigious meet. Jake Magahey won the individual High Point Award and swam best times in every one of his events: 50 free (19.95-2nd place), 100 free (43.12-2nd place), 200 free (1:35.36-3rd place), 500 free (4:12.72-1st place), 1650 free (14:51.76-1st place), 400 IM (3:45.37-2nd place), 200 medley relay (21.11 fly split-6th place), 800 free relay (1:33.32 leadoff 200 free split-3rd place), 400 medley relay (47.12 fly split-5th place), 200 free relay (20.03-leadoff 50 free split-1st place), and 400 free relay (43.19 100 free split-1st place).  Nicholas Kalenik swam outstanding times in 5 events:  800 free relay (1:39.12-3rd place), 500 free (4:33.41), 1650 free (15:59.25), and 400 free relay (46.11 100 free split-21st place).  Mia Walters competed well in the 200 fly (2:05.88).
