Congratulations to the swim team for their outstanding performance this weekend versus North Gwinnett. The girl's team fell short 171.5 to 142.5 and the boy's team fell short 186 to 123.

Jake Magahey earned Automatic All-American and set a new school record in the 200 IM with his time of 1:48.82.

We have many swimmers attempting to earn special recognition by qualifying for state and county in each and every event. We award the Iron Hawk for qualifying for state in all 8 swimming events, Silver Hawk for qualifying for state in at least 2 swimming events and county in the remaining swimming events, Bronze Hawk for qualifying for state in less than 2 events and county in the remaining events, and Soaring Hawk for divers that qualify for state in both the 11-dive and 6-dive format.

Iron Hawk: Jordan Hildebrand, Nicholas Kalenik, Jake Magahey, Will Pierce, Abigail Tashlein, Sydney Tashlein, and Jackson Ward.

Silver Hawk: Tristen Thompson (7 state cuts), Daniel Roshka (6 state cuts), Logan Paugh (6 state cuts), Audrey Privett (5 state cuts). Vivien Rothwell (5 state cuts), Will Skidmore (5 state cuts), and Mia Walters (7 state cuts).

Bronze Hawk: Alina Inthavong (1 state cut), Jacob Battle, Hunter Dunnington, Claire Grant, Aidan Van Derhei (1 state cut), and Caroline Weinhart.

The next meet will be Friday, 17 January 2020, versus Norcross at the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center in Norcross. The bus will leave Mill Creek at 5:30 PM. The meet starts at 7:00 PM. The bus should return to Mill Creek around 11:00 PM.

Congratulations to the entire team for their outstanding spirit and sportsmanship! The team did an outstanding job of cheering and supporting their teammates!
