Swim Meet Schedule and Time Trials

Attention Swimmers, Divers, and Parents,

This week we will conduct time trials for the swimmers.  Thursday we will have time trials for the swimmers that train at Bogan Park Pool in lanes 4-6 and the Club swimmers (swimmers that train at SwimAtlanta, Lanier Aquatics, etc.).  We will have dryland from 4 to 5 and swim from 5 to 6 at Bogan Park Pool.  In order to participate swimmers must be 100% cleared on DragonFly.  Swimmers that are not 100% cleared will not be allowed to participate.  The only swimmers that are exempt from time trials are those swimmers that swam in a Club meet last weekend or this upcoming weekend.  Friday we will conduct time trials for those swimmers that train in lanes 1-3 and any swimmers that are unable to attend Thursday's time trial.  Swimmers that are currently involved in softball, football or cross country will be timed at a later date.

Attached you will find our Swim Meet schedule.  There have been some changes to the Tentative schedule that was handed out at registration on Sept. 11.  This is due to a couple of changes in the pools that we will be using.  For meets that are held at the Dynamo Swim Center off of Shallowford Road and at Westminster, we will be taking two buses at the same time.  Both genders will swim together.  For meets that are held at Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation pools (West Gwinnett and Mountain Park Pool), we will be staggering the departure times because we will have to split the genders for the meets.  For example, if a meet is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM in a Gwinnett County pool we may have the boys leave school at 5:30 PM and the girls leave school at 7:00 PM.  The boys will arrive first, warmup, and then swim their meet.  Once their meet is complete they will vacate the pool and head home on the bus.  The girls team which left school at 7:00 PM will then enter the pool, warmup, and they swim their meet.  We will not always have the boys go first.  Since there are no spectators we will provide bus transportation to the meet and back to the school.  We will be limited to 20 swimmers of each gender in a meet so there may be some meets in which an swimmer may not be entered.

The divers will be diving at a separate time and this will be published once it is determined.

Please bear with us as we do our best to meet the strict requirements during this pandemic.  Our goal is maintain the health and safety of our athletes while still providing an opportunity to participate in the sport of swimming and diving.

Thanks,

The Coaches
