Swimmers, Divers, and Parents,

The season is just pass the midpoint.  We have a meet this weekend, Saturday, Dec. 18, at 8:00 am at West Gwinnett Aquatic Center.  The bus will leave Mill Creek at 6:30 am.  After the holidays we will have 2 more dual meets, County and then State.  Participation in County and State requires meeting time standards (swimming) or point standards (diving).

Over the holidays we plan on practicing during our normal practice times both weeks, Monday-Thursday (Dec. 20-23, Dec. 27-30).  We expect athletes to train over the holidays.  If you are traveling, we encourage you to find a place to train.  If you need workouts, you can email me at [email protected] or [email protected] for workouts. Our diving coach, Coach Morgan, will communicate holiday diving practices. 

We are proud of the swimmers and divers that have committed to training this season.  We have a large percentage of athletes that are working hard both in the pool and in the classroom.  Unfortunately, we do have some athletes that are not committing enough of their time and energy to their studies and their training.  We expect athletes to attend every scheduled workout unless they have a legitimate excuse.  It is the responsibility of the athlete to communicate with the coaches if they need to miss practice.  High School athletics is not the same as recreational athletics where practice attendance may be considered optional.  Practice attendance is required in order to be a member of the team.  Please work hard to attend all scheduled practices and be responsible when it comes to communicating conflicts.
