GCPS Championship Meet Finals Summary 2002 - corrected

Congratulations to both the swimmers and divers for an OUTSTANDING Gwinnett County Championship Meet! The girls' team finished 3rd and the boys' team finished 5th. There were many outstanding performances!

A new school record was set by the 200 freestyle relay team of Tristen Thompson, Iris Ochoa, Vivien Rothwell, and Jordan Hildebrand. Their time of 1:37.67 beat the old record of 1:38.22 set in 2008! They also won the event by over 2 seconds!

First place finishes were achieved by the girls' 200 freestyle relay team and Leah McCarthy (diving).

The other relay teams scoring in the meet were: Vivien Rothwell, Sydney Tashlein, Jordan Hildebrand, Iris Ochoa (200 medley relay - 2nd), Will Skidmore, Keegan Privett, Cooper Wilhoit, Daniel Roshka (400 free relay - 2nd), Grace Smith, Anna Smith, Sydney Tashlein, Tristen Thompson (400 free relay - 3rd), Will Skidmore, Faby Pena Damoni, Brayen Williams, Daniel Roshka (200 medley relay - 6th), Justin Content, Curtis Thompson, Payton Potlock-Pizano, Keegan Privett (200 free relay - 8th).

The next meet will be the Georgia High School State Meet held at Georgia Tech, Feb. 3-5. More information on the State meet will follow.
