Good afternoon! This is a very long email and I apologize but it is a lot of information for our State Meet.

We will be having a “normal” State meet held at Georgia Tech Campus Recreation Center located at 750 Ferst Drive, Atlanta, GA 30318

Sessions will be as follows:

Thursday, February 3, 2022

1:30-2:15 p.m. 6-7A Girls Diving Warm-Up  (The event may start earlier if the dive meet that is before our meet ends early.  Please arrive by 12:30 PM.

2:15-3:45 p.m. 6-7A Girls Diving  (Again the event may start earlier)

Friday, February 4, 2022

4:30 pm – 6:00 pm – 6-7A Swimming Warmup

6:00 pm – 8:45 pm – 6-7A Swimming Prelims

*Prelims will be conducted in two 10 lane courses. The boy’s events will swim in the west pool (by the main scoreboard) and the girl’s will swim in the east pool by the diving well). Finals will be swum in one 10 lane course, the east pool.

Our team assigned warmup is at 4:55 PM in lanes 7-8 in the middle pool.  We will not be allowed to enter the facility until 4:30 PM.  As a result, we are looking to push our bus departure time to 2:45 PM.  The plan will be to meet in the commons after school and eat a sandwich, take a team picture and load the bus at 2:45.  We have an assigned team seating area (On deck in bleacher E).

Saturday, February 5, 2022

4:30 pm – 5:55 pm 6-7 A Swimming Finals Warm-up

6:00 pm – 10:00 pm 6-7 A Swimming Finals (Top 30 from each event)

Only swimmers that make it back to finals will be able to score team points.  The bus departure time, warmup time, and seating area will be the same for finals as prelims.

To sign up for the meet your parents can visit ghssca.com and click on the State Meet Volunteers link 2022 State Meet Volunteer Signup Link to reserve their position. There, they can provide some basic contact information, select the job they want, and which session or sessions they can work. Jobs will be available on a first come first served basis.

Concession/Food: Concessions will be available for this year’s meet. We will have snacks/drinks available for the athletes during our sessions. We will be creating a group order for Friday’s session to Jimmy John’s-please be on the lookout for another email with the link to order!

Photography – River Oak Photography will be at the meet to capture it all. Register in advance as there are a limited number of slots available. Click HERE to reserve your spot.

State Merchandise: Team IP will be on site with official championship apparel and swimming related products. Merchandise will be available on the spectator level of the pool in the classrooms across from concessions.

Again, this is all "for now" as things may change-I will be in contact with you as soon as possible if there are any changes.

Good luck to all of the participating athletes.  The State Dinner will be on Wednesday, at 6 PM, at the Hamilton Mill Clubhouse (same place we had the kickoff dinner and County Meet dinner).
