MC vs Norcross Meet Summary
Congratulations to the swim team for their outstanding effort versus Norcross on last night. The girls’ team won 217 to 210 and the boys’ team won 231.5 to 204.5.

Iron Hawk (qualifies for state in all 8 individual swimming events): Iris Ochoa, Vivien Rothwell, and Will Skidmore.
Silver Hawk (qualifies for state in 2 or more swimming events and county in the remaining events): Weston Skidmore, Cooper Wilhoit, and Brayden Williams.
Bronze Hawk (qualifies for county in all 8 swimming events): Jackson Bollier, Jackson Fleming, Alina Inthavong, Justin Kurgan, Ryan Ross, Evan Smola and Kate Thigpen.
Soaring Hawk (qualifies for state in both the 6 and 11 dive events): Leah McCarthy
The next meet will be the Gwinnett County Championship Meet, Jan. 18-21. The boys’ prelims will be Thursday, Jan. 19, starting at 5:00 PM. The girls’ prelims will be Friday, Jan. 20, starting at 5:00 PM. The girls’ diving will be Saturday, Jan. 21, starting at 9:00 AM. The swimming finals for both girls and boys will be Saturday, Jan. 21, starting at 5:00 PM. All of the swimming sessions will be held at the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center. The diving will be held at the Mountain Park Aquatic Center.
Last night we were able to recognize and celebrate our outstanding senior class: Boris Basic, Aubrey Harper, Jonathan Harshaw, Alina Inthavong, Autumn Newton, Allison Niehoff, Ansley Pierce, Payton Potlock-Pizano, Audrey Privett, Teresa Rodrigues, Vivien Rothwell, Lydia Schwab, Will Skidmore, Mohammed Taha, Curtis Thompson, Kate Wallace, Cooper Wilhoit, and Brayden Williams. We are extremely proud of this special group not only for the dedication to the the program, but for their outstanding performance in the classroom and their outstanding spirit and sportsmanship!
We would also like to recognize those swimmers that worked hard all year but were unable to achieve county qualifying times. These athletes were extremely dedicated: Jessica Beshay, Jordan Braz, Adam Conner, Catherine Krueger, Jaiden Lawler, Nick Newton, Allison Niehoff, Ethan Peeples, Andrew Petersien, Ansley Pierce, Lydia Schwab, Mohammed Taha, Rory Terry, and Jack Wallace.
