Congratulations to the Mill Creek swim team for their outstanding meet this weekend versus Mountain View. Both the boys and girls swam and dove extremely well!

First place finishes were achieved by Kate Thigpen (200 free), Jackson Fleming (200 IM), Kennedy Martin (200 IM), Emily Johnson (50 free), Leah McCarthy (diving), Weston Skidmore (100 fly), Iris Ochoa (100 fly, 100 breast), Adelaine Dunnington (100 free), Adam Conner (500 free), Caroline Hurd (500 free), Ileana Lopez Barnes (100 back), and Ryan Ross (100 breast).

State qualifying times were achieved by Leah McCarthy (diving), Weston Skidmore (100 fly), Iris Ochoa (100 fly, 100 breast), and Ryan Ross (100 fly, 100 breast).  There were other swimmers extremely close to qualifying for state and many County qualifying times.

Congratulation to both teams for the outstanding spirit and sportsmanship!

The next meets will be:  Hudson Diving Invitational (11 dive meet) on Friday, 1 Dec 2023 at the Mountain Park Aquatic Center in Lilburn; Clody Swimming Invitational on Saturday morning, 2 Dec 2023 at the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center; Clody Diving Invitational (6 dive meet) on Saturday, 2 Dec 2023 at the Mountain Park Aquatic Center in Lilburn.

Thanks to all the parents that assisted with the meet! Home team responsibilities are much greater than the visiting team. Thanks to the parents that did an outstanding job with the setup, computer table, and take down. The meet ran extremely well due to their hard work! We will be the home team for our Dec. 9th, and Dec. 15th meets as well and will need several volunteers.
