Congratulations to the Mill Creek swimming and diving team for their outstanding meet this weekend versus Brookwood, Duluth, and North Gwinnett in the Meet of Champions quad meet. Both the boys and girls swam and dove extremely well against 3 of the top teams in the state!  The team finished 3rd in both boys and girls.

First place finishes were achieved by Leah McCarthy (diving), and Justin Kurgen (100 fly). 

State qualifying times were achieved by Austin Klemmer (200 IM, 100 breast), Grace Smith (50 free, 100 fly, 100 free), Caleb Jolly (50 free), Leah McCarthy (diving), Justin Kurgen (100 fly, 50 free, 100 breast), Morris Peelle (100 fly), Marlee Carmichael (100 free) and Owen Van Houten (100 back, 100 free). There were other swimmers extremely close to qualifying for state and many County qualifying times.

Congratulation to all of the teams for the outstanding spirit and sportsmanship!

The next meet will be Saturday, Nov. 2 versus Parkview at the Mountain Park Aquatic Center. The bus will leave Mill Creek at 5:30 PM. The divers will compete in this meet.
