Hello all,

THANK YOU to all the volunteers that made our first Home Meet of the 2024-2025 a great success! We learned a few things that we are going to improve upon but couldn't do it without all the parental support! We were so proud of all of our Hawks!

We want to personally thank Reid and Dani Fleming (Meet Managers), Windy Murphy & Lisa and Duane Elliott (Concessions), Mai Yin Thigpen (Computer Scoring) and Marc Colavito (Console Operator) for their extra work to run the meet, the technology and the concessions! Several in this group attended special training before the season to make sure they could support the efforts - and for that we are extremely grateful.

Now that we have two swim meets under our belt, we are hopeful more parents are feeling more comfortable with the roles involved with high school swim. 

With that in mind, two of the four board members (Carrie Smola and Amy Smith) have seniors and several of our lead volunteers have seniors as well (Mai Yin Thigpen and Windy Murphy). Additionally, the remaining 2 board members (Ed Dunnington and Maria Syed) have juniors. Many in this group started when our kids where sophomores which was helpful to start earlier in our kids' high school careers. We have been fortunate to spread the responsibility across many people and that's what works the best! We need others to step up for next year's team.

For those of you that might not know, without a parent booster board, we can't really have a high school team. The board is responsible for registration, ordering suits, caps, spirit wear, managing volunteers, and more. It might seem overwhelming but we divide and conquer and the reward of supporting your child is worth it.

While we're starting the season, we'd love to tell you more about the roles involved, encourage you to ask questions, shadow a volunteer role, and more. 

We need to keep this village strong and appreciate your dedication and support!
