Congratulations to the Mill Creek swim team for their outstanding meet this weekend versus Duluth. The girls' team won 267-186 and the boys' team won a nailbiter 218-216.  Both the boys and girls swam and dove extremely well!

First place finishes were achieved by Owen Van Houten (200 free), Marlee Carmichael (200 free), Justin Kurgan (200 IM), Grace Smith (50 free, 100 fly), Bryce Buchanan-Cummings (diving), Leah McCarthy (diving), Morris Peelle (100 fly), Austin Klemmer (500 free, 100 breast), Jackson Fleming (100 back), Allison Shin (100 back), and Berkley Colavito (100 breast). 

State qualifying times were achieved by Owen Van Houten (200 free), Caleb Jolly (50 free), Marlee Carmichael (100 free), Justin Kurgan (200 IM, 100 free), Grace Smith (50 free, 100 fly), Leah McCarthy (diving), Austin Klemmer (500 free, 100 breast), and Allison Shin (100 back). There were other swimmers extremely close to qualifying for state and many County qualifying times.

Congratulation to both teams for the outstanding spirit and sportsmanship!

The next meets will be versus North Gwinnett on Saturday evening, 11 Jan 2025, at the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center.

Thanks to all the parents that assisted with the meet!  We will be the home team for our last two dual meets on Jan. 11th and Jan. 18th.
