Hi all! Happy 2025! Hope everyone is enjoying their first week back to practices and school. Wanted to make sure you saw that our team website is updated to reflect all the upcoming events including County and State details. Please save these dates.

FYI, for those new to the team, if you qualify for County and State, we host team dinners just prior to those meets. Transportation is not provided and meals are for the athletes only.

Here we go - please take note:

• This Saturday PM: Meet against North Gwinnett at West Gwinnett Aquatic Center. Note, Coach Creed will be in touch with those details including if there are any changes due to weather.
• Next Saturday morning, January 18th at Mountain Park Aquatic Center is Senior Recognition and our last regular Swim & Dive Meet of the season. Senior parents be sure to check my other email about senior posters and fatheads. Dr. Pauli needs all pictures by Monday, January 13th at the end of the day in order to have the fatheads ready for the 18th.
• The County Team dinner for those athletes that qualified for County will be held on Tuesday, January 21st at 6:45 pm at Rachetti's on Sprout Springs Road. More details will be sent as we get closer.
• County Prelims for Boys are January 22nd and for Girls are January 23rd. (both in the afternoons). The Finals are Friday, January 24th in the afternoon as well. All County events are at the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center. Coach Creed will be sending out more info as we get closer and we will be sending out info regarding parent volunteer needs.
• State is scheduled February 4th for Diving, and February 7th AM (Prelims) and 8th AM (Finals) down at Georgia Tech. (Bus transportation provided for swimming) The Smiths will be hosting the State Team dinner at their home on Wednesday, February 5th. Again, more details coming soon.
• End of Year Recognition Banquet/Awards will be held on Tuesday, March 11th at 6:30 pm in the MCHS Commons Area. Food will be catered and dinner will be free for the athletes and there will be a fee for the families. Again, more information is coming soon. 

If you are interested in helping with food arrangements for any of these events, we would greatly appreciate your help.

Also, be sure to get your four volunteer spots completed...if you haven't fulfilled four spots, our volunteer coordinator, Kristie Martin, will be in touch. If you can't find a volunteer job on our website, we can help you find other jobs needing done by the end of the season.

Finally, we have several senior parents that serve on this year's board and in order for our team to exist we MUST have a volunteer parent booster board. We are working on more details and the open positions but PLEASE consider volunteering in a key role next year. It is so rewarding and not a ton of time when many step up...many hands make less work.
