Updated State Meet Summary
Congratulations to the Mill Creek swimmers and divers for their outstanding performance at the GHSA 6A State Swimming and Diving Championship Meet. Both the boys and girls swam and dove extremely well! The girls team finished 12th and the boys team finished 9th! We are extremely proud of every participating athlete!!!
The following swimmers and divers scored at the meet:
Leah McCarthy (diving – 2nd), Austin Klemmer (100 fly – 7th, 100 breast – 3rd), Grace Smith (100 fly – 7th, 50 free - 13th), Justin Kurgan (100 fly – 15th), Owen Van Houten(100 back – 17th), and Allison Shin (100 back – 9th).
The following relays swam extremely well:
Owen Van Houten, Austin Klemmer, Justin Kurgan, Morris Peele (200 medley relay - 8th); Allison Shin, Berkley Colavito, Grace Smith, Camille Roberts (200 medley relay – 9th); Caleb Jolly, Justin Kurgan, Morris Peelle, Austin Klemmer (200 free relay - 10th); Caleb Jolly, Jackson Fleming, Evan Smola, Owen Van Houten (400 free relay - 14th); Kate Thigpen, Corinne Dunnington, Allison Shin(400 free relay - 15th).
The following swimmers and divers also swam and dove extremely well:
Marlee Carmichael (200 free, 100 free), Evan Smola (200 IM, 100 fly), Allison Shin (200 IM), Caleb Jolly (50 free, 100 free), Morris Peelle (50 free, 100 free), Dain Jacobazzi (50 free, 100 back), Camille Roberts (50 free, 100 free), Joy Orgbon (diving), Corinne Dunnington (100 fly, 100 back), Jackson Fleming (100 free, 100 back), Owen Van Houten(500 free), Kennedy Martin (100 back), and Justin Kurgan (100 breast).
Congratulations to all the participants in the State Meet! The team displayed tremendous spirit and sportsmanship!

A special thanks also goes out to my lovely wife, Coach Heidi Creed, for her hard work and dedication! She went out of her way to encourage, motivate, develop, and instill confidence into every athlete!!!
We are extremely proud of all the team members this year! They demonstrated outstanding school spirit and represented their school, community, and families extremely well!
The team banquet will be on March 11th in the Mill Creek Commons. We will have the swimmers and divers vote for special team awards next week.
