Congratulations to the Mill Creek swim team for their outstanding meet this weekend versus Parkview. Both the boys and girls swam extremely well against one of the top teams in the state!

First place finishes were achieved by Marlee Carmichael (50 free, 100 free), Melanie Jones (100 fly), Justin Kurgan (100 free, 100 breast), Austin Klemmer (500 free), Owen Van Houten (100 back), Allison Shin (100 back), and Berkley Colavito (100 breast).

State qualifying times were achieved by Austin Klemmer (200 free, 500 free, 50 free), Allison Shin (200 free, 100 back), Owen Van Houten (200 IM, 100 back), Kennedy Martin (200 IM, 100 back), Marlee Carmichael (50 free, 100 free), Kayla Crane (50 free, 500 free), Melanie Jones (100 fly), and Justin Kurgan (100 breast). There were other swimmers extremely close to qualifying for state and many County qualifying times.

Congratulation to both teams for the outstanding spirit and sportsmanship!

The next meet will be Saturday, Nov. 8 versus Brookwood at the West Gwinnett Aquatic Center. The bus will leave Mill Creek at 5:30 PM.
