County Meet Summary

Congratulations to the Mill Creek swimmers and diver for their outstanding performance this past weekend at the Gwinnett County Championship Diving and Swimming Meet. Both the boys and girls swam and dove extremely well! The girls’ team finished 4th and the boys’ team finished 7th. We are extremely proud of every participating athlete!!!

State qualifying times were achieved by Allison Shin (200 free, 100 back), Austin Klemmer (200 IM, 100 breast), Melanie Jones (200 IM, 100 fly), Kennedy Martin (200 IM, 100 back), Caleb Jolly (50 free, 100 free), Camille Roberts (50 free, 100 free), Marlee Carmichael (50 free, 100 free), Joy Orgbon (diving), Justin Kurgan (100 fly, 100 breast), Owen Van Houten (100 fly, 100 back, 100 free), Jackson Fleming (100 fly, 50 free), Corinne Dunnington (100 fly, 100 back, 100 free), Caroline Hurd (100 fly), Jackson Fleming (100 free, 100 back), Luke Galloway (500 free), and Berkley Colavito (100 breast).

Joy Orgbon placed 3rd in diving and will be competing in the 6A State Diving Championship Meet next weekend at Marist on Saturday, Jan. 31st at 9:00 AM (boards open for warmup at 7:00 AM).

Congratulations to all the participants in the County Meet! The team displayed tremendous spirit and sportsmanship! The next meet will the 6A State Swimming and Diving and Championship Meet. The diving will be held at Marist Schools on Saturday, Jan. 31st, and the swimming will be held at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center with prelims on Friday, Feb. 6th and finals on Saturday, Feb. 7th.
